A message from the 2026–27 principal

Dear Pecan Springs Families and Community Members,

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Pecan Springs Elementary School. I am honored to join this incredible community during such a significant new chapter for our school.

Pecan Springs is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art campus with a comprehensive restart centered on one vital goal: creating exceptional opportunities and outcomes for every child. We believe every student deserves a school where they are academically challenged, personally supported, and daily inspired.

This year marks a fresh beginning filled with hope, high expectations, and opportunity. We are building a campus culture grounded in strong relationships, joyful learning, and a relentless commitment to student growth and success.

One of the most exciting aspects of this work is partnering with the outstanding team serving our students. Ninety percent of our teaching staff brings more than 10 years of experience, with the majority of our educators recognized by the State of Texas as Exemplary or Master teachers. Our students will learn from passionate professionals who believe deeply in every child and possess the expertise to help them achieve at high levels.

At Pecan Springs, we will:

• Closely monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families
• Provide daily targeted academic support through interventionists and content specialists
• Ensure bilingual support for students and families
• Create safe, structured, and joyful classrooms where every child belongs
• Partner closely with families because we know student success happens best together

We are not just opening a new building—we are building a school community where students thrive, families feel welcomed, and excellence becomes the expectation.
