PARENT SURVEY
Dear Parents:
Beginning October 24th, the Center for Effective Schools (which is an initiative of the Texas Education Agency) will begin administering feedback surveys to families across the state. Your views on matters like the way students at school are taught, and your and your child’s connection to school are crucial. These surveys will give you a unique opportunity to provide anonymous feedback about your experiences in these areas and others.
The survey window will be open from October 24th through November 18th. I am writing to personally ask you to complete this survey and help leadership at Pecan Springs Elementary make improvements.
Starting on October 24th, you will be able to access our school’s brief, 10-minute survey by going to surveys.panoramaed.com/esf/2022family and choosing the school from a dropdown menu. Once again, anything you share will be completely anonymous and can never be tied back to you. Also, students on campus will participate in a similar survey. If you would like to review the questions asked for the student survey, you can see all the questions by going to http://texasces.info/survey. Only students in grades 3rd and up are eligible to participate in the survey.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our school’s survey coordinator, Blanca Salgado, at 512-841-6346 or email at, blanca.salgado@austinisd.org
Sincerely,
Principal,
Ms. Andrea Williams

Estimados padres:
Atentamente,
Directora,
Sra. Andrea Williams

Apply for Coats for Kids Now! Applications close, FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4
Coats for Kids is an annual, citywide coat drive held within the Central Texas community from Nov 14 - Dec 7, 2022. Warm winter coats are collected all across the Austin community. Coats are then dry-cleaned and brought to The Junior League of Austin Community Impact Center where they are sorted by size. Volunteers from the community pick out coats from the Coats for Kids inventory that best match coat requests made by families in the Central Texas community.
Students and children 18 years of age or younger are eligible to receive a warm winter coat from Coats for Kids.
An adult must complete the digital Coat Request Form on behalf of each child in need of a coat. The digital Coat Request Form may be submitted between Oct 17 and Nov 4, 2022.
Each child will need a separate request form completed. Only one coat request form may be submitted for each child.
Outside Traffic AFTER 7:40 AM
Parents, in efforts to avoid outside traffic during school hours after 7:40 AM in the front half circle drive in we ask that cars use only the right lane and do not block the left lane as we have buses coming in and out that may need to pass through and avoid other vehicles blocking traffic. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Tuesday's and Thursday's
Parents are welcome to eat lunch with their scholar on TUESDAY'S & THURSDAY'S. When you arrive please check in at the Front Office with your ID, Driver's License, OR Passport. Thank you!
